Journal of Clinical Metabolism & Diabetes (JCMD), Information for authors

Authorship
All persons listed as authors must have contributed significantly to the work. The corresponding author is responsible for obtaining consent from all co-authors for the version of the manuscript submitted.

Acknowledgements
Financial and material support of any kind must be acknowledged in the manuscript. Authors are obliged to explain the role of the study sponsor(s), if any, in study design; data collection, analysis, and interpretation; or in the writing. Should the supporting source have had no such involvement, the authors should clearly state so.

Conflicts of Interest
When submitting a manuscript, authors are responsible for disclosing all financial and personal relationships that could be viewed as presenting a potential conflict of interest. This needs to reveal any financial interests or connections, direct or indirect, or other situations that might raise the question of bias in the work reported or the conclusions, implications, or opinions stated – including pertinent commercial or other sources of funding for the individual author(s) or for the associated department(s) or organization(s), personal relationships, or direct academic competition.

Clinical Trials
Only trials that have been registered in a public trials registry will be considered for publication. The name of the registry and the registration number should be stated at the end of the abstract of the manuscript.

Editorial policy
The Journal of Clinical Metabolism & Diabetes will not consider manuscripts that have been published previously or that are under consideration for publication elsewhere. All authors are required to submit a cover letter clearly indicating that neither is the case.

The manuscript titles must be descriptive and must not contain any brand names. Drugs must be identified by their generic name.

The manuscript should conform to the standard detailed in the 'Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing for Biomedical Publication' (http://www.icmje.org). US Spelling will be used by default to edit the final manuscript - unless the authors indicate otherwise. All measurements must be given in International System of units (SI) (meters, kilograms, seconds etc).

Images & tables
Tables and charts should complement the text as opposed to duplicate it. Photographs & Illustrations must be supplied in High resolution at least 300 dpi JPEG/Tiff format.
